Another method is to rub a white candle over the edges after the paint dries.

What is the process for choosing colors?

Firstly, The client will be given the standard color chart. There is also the harmonious color combination chart. Utilizing these charts, choosing the colors is made easier.

Secondly, we have a very good selection of photos in our photo gallery. This will give an idea about how the final look will be.

Thirdly, it is suggested to take a casual drive around the locality to get an idea about the paint on a similar type of property. We will try to match the photos with the actual colors that we have. Lastly, if required, we can also provide cardboard paint color brush-outs. This helps in proper visualization.

What is the drying time of the paint?

Acrylic paint ( Latex) dries faster than oil paint which is usually a couple of hours. Oil paint needs at least a day. Flat paint dries faster than semigloss.

What is VOC, and should I be concerned about it?

VOC ( Volatile Organic Compounds) are found in paints to aid the paint’s flow. However, these chemicals can cause some short and long-term adverse health effects. A low VOC paint will not emit much harmful gas as the traditional paint. A low VOC paint should not contain more than 250g/L for latex paint and 380 g/L for oil paint as per the regulations set by the Environmental Protection Agency.

Are two coats of paint enough or more is required?

It depends. If painting a well-prepped, primed surface, then two coats are ideal. Especially when painting a dark color over a lighter existing color. Two coats will ensure good coverage of paint over the exterior surface area.

What steps are undertaken to protect personal property?

Firstly, if possible, all delicate items are removed and kept separately. The remaining items on the premises are covered with clean drop cloths or plastic sheeting. While exterior painting is done, proper care is maintained to protect plants and other outdoor things from paint splatter and peelings.

Do all items have to be physically removed from the property?

Ideally, to do so would be the best so those small and breakable items can be protected. If not, proper care will be taken to safeguard all furniture and fixtures.
